With over two decades in DOSH, Mr. Rahim is a seasoned enforcement officer and prosecution expert. He has handled more than 40 legal cases including high-profile trials and leads operational audits, factory inspections, and risk-based enforcement nationwide. As Lead Auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 37001, his work ensures compliance and safety excellence across Malaysia.

Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Aznul Qalid Md Sabri
Speaker Profile

Dr. Aznul is a visionary AI strategist, academic, and entrepreneur. He was among the top 5 candidates shortlisted to lead Malaysia’s National AI Office. With a PhD in AI from France and dual Master’s in Vision & Robotics through the Erasmus Mundus program, he has led AI ventures like Fylix and Discoverix and consulted for EPF, PERODUA, PETRONAS, and more. His digital solutions have earned him national awards and cross-border collaborations with Hong Kong, Indonesia, and others.

Ts. Dr. Ooi Boon Yaik
Speaker Profile

Dr. Ooi is a top researcher and technologist specializing in AIoT and distributed computing systems. With a PhD in Computer Science from USM and over 20 years in academia and industry, he bridges theoretical science with real-world innovation. He has delivered award-winning research on predictive maintenance, software 2.0, and real-time manufacturing monitoring. An active IEEE Senior Member and certified HRDC trainer, he frequently collaborates with SMEs and government agencies to drive smart industry transformation. 

Trainer - Dr Tew

Dr. Tew Yiqi
Speaker Profile

Dr. Tew Yiqi is an Associate Professor at TAR UMT with over 15 years of experience in academia and smart technology. He specializes in IoT, embedded systems, and real-time video processing, and has published over 50 research papers. He leads smart industry projects in manufacturing, agriculture, and campus solutions. Dr. Tew is also a national expert for the IoT category in WorldSkills ASEAN competitions appointed by the Ministry of Human Resources.

MR Avnas Singh Gill
Speaker Profile

Mr. Avnas Singh Gill is a certified OSH trainer and former SHE Manager at DuPont with over 20 years of experience in occupational safety and health. He has been a registered Safety and Health Officer with DOSH Malaysia since 2002. Throughout his career, he has worked in the oleochemical, PCB, and construction industries, holding key roles in safety management and environmental compliance. He was also part of the technical committee for the development of NIOSH’s Contractor Safety Passport System in 2007. As a certified ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 auditor, he brings strong expertise in safety audits and training. Since 2013, Mr. Avnas has been actively conducting safety, environmental, and team building training sessions across various sectors.

MR Mohd Shamsuri Khalid
Speaker Profile

Mr.  Shamsuri holds a PhD in Fire & Explosion and has over 24 years of experience in occupational safety enforcement, investigation, and AI application in safety systems. A former Deputy Director of the Forensic Engineering Division at DOSH Malaysia, he is currently leading the Department of Creative AI at UTM KL. He has investigated numerous high-profile incidents and now leads research on integrating AI into safety diagnostics.

MR Chow Wai Yein

Mr Chow is the Group Chief Safety, Security & Health Officer (GCSSHO) and Group Chief Corporate Support Officer (GCCSO) of SMRT Corporation Ltd. As GCSSHO, he heads the Group Safety & Security Department, which oversees SMRT’s Safety, Security, Occupational Health & Business Continuity governance, policies, strategies, and ensuring operational continuity. He also serves as the Management Representative for ISO 45001, 14001, 22301, and 9001.
