Dr. Wong Kee Wei

Founder, Executive Director & Group Managing Director
Aged 45, Male, Malaysian

Dr. Wong Kee Wei is the Founder, Executive Director, and Group Managing Director of Safetyware Group. He joined the Board on 19 November 2020 and was appointed Group Managing Director on 10 July 2021. He leads the Group’s strategic direction and oversees its overall operations.

Dr. Wong holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from the Graduate School of Business, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) from Brock University, Canada.

He began his career at Hong Leong Bank Berhad before joining NEC Computers (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. as a Software Engineer. In 2003, he founded Safetyware Sdn. Bhd. and has since built Safetyware Group into one of the leading occupational safety and health specialists in Malaysia and the region.

Tan Choon Lai

Executive Director & Chief Compliance Officer
Aged 43, Female, Malaysian

Ms. Tan Choon Lai serves as the Executive Director and Chief Compliance Officer of Safetyware Group. Joining the Board on November 19, 2020, she oversees the Group’s quality management system, corporate governance, and compliance matters. Ms. Tan holds a Diploma of Mass Communication from Han Chiang College, Penang, a Diploma of Higher Education, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University, United Kingdom.

Starting her career as a Buyer at NEC Computers (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., she joined Safetyware Sdn. Bhd. in October 2003 as General Manager, and was appointed Executive Director in January 2013. She plays a crucial role in the business development, human resources, and quality management systems of the Group. Ms. Tan also serves as Executive Director for Safetyware EHS Consultancy Sdn. Bhd., and holds directorships in other subsidiaries within the Group.

Dr. Loh Wei Hoong

Independent Non-Executive Director
Aged 58, Male, Malaysian

Prof. Loh Wei Hoong, Independent Non-Executive Director of Safetyware Group, has extensive experience in corporate coaching, strategic planning, and market research. He holds a Master of Arts in Economics from Dalhousie University, Canada, a Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and is a certified NLP Coach. He has completed his doctorate at Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT), focusing on Family Business Succession Planning.

Prof. Loh has a rich background in strategic roles at KPMG and BDO, and has worked in various industries including financial services and oil and gas. He has been a Corporate Coach for Vistage Group and an adjunct faculty member with several leading MBA schools across Asia Pacific. Recognized for his contributions to education and business, Prof. Loh has received numerous accolades, including the PKT award from the Penang State Government of Malaysia. His extensive experience and insight make him a valuable asset to the Safetyware Group.
